According to Harvard Health, Post-hospital syndrome can be defined as a period of vulnerability lasting up to seven weeks after a patient is discharged from the hospital. This period of vulnerability leaves people at increased risk for rehospitalization from a diverse range of conditions, which are often separate from the original cause of hospital admission. Post-hospital syndrome is caused, in part, by ongoing effects of the original illness.
Post-surgical period is a delicate time wherein most people recover from surgery just fine, some people develop post-surgery complications that can range from minor (itching at the incision site) to serious (blood clot in the lungs). Avoiding these complications helps in faster recovery. Our post operative programs are designed according to your surgery, clinical condition & external factors to minimise complications enabling you to rest and heal faster.
A hospital will discharge you if you no longer need to be there for your care, but this may not mean that you are fully healed or recovered. After discharge, one needs a transition of care, though a step down from hospital level care to ensure your progress is on the right track. Our programs oversee your continuing care according to your ailment to help you regain strength & immunity in a wholesome manner for a speedy all round recovery.
Post-intensive care syndrome, or PICS is made up of health problems that remain after critical illness. They are present when the patient is in the ICU and may persist after the patient returns home. Critical illness is a family crisis and feeling worried and confused can cause family members to stop tending to their own health. Our long term care programs for critically ill/ bedridden patients have a holistic approach giving equal attention to mental, emotional & physical recovery.
Feel free to clarify any doubts or discuss your solutions. Once we design your health recovery program you will realise all you need to do is rest and recover.
