Home Health Care encompasses a wide range of health care services provided in the patient’s home with the purpose of improvising & maintaining his or her maximal level of function, health, and comfort. Home care is a collaborative effort involving family, physician, and an interdisciplinary home care team. It is a cost-effective alternative to extended hospitalization, rehabilitation, or a nursing home stay. Patients are usually more comfortable in their own home and studies have shown patients recover quicker at home.
You or a family member may benefit from home care if you are:
All care programs are designed post evaluation of patients diagnosis & current condition under the direction of physician and with input from the patient and family members, and an individualised care plan is initiated. The care plan is continually assessed and updated as the patient’s needs change and as progress is made. All of this is documented in the patient’s chart.
Your residence is wherever you call home. This may be your house, an apartment, a relative’s home, a senior community, or some other type of residence.
There is no set length of time for home care—it can vary greatly based on a person’s unique needs. All our programs are designed on a weekly basis, however chronic & long term programs are designed on a bi weekly / monthly basis subject to patient outcomes.
This varies from situation to situation. There are many different ways people pay for their home care costs. Either out of pocket or some services may be covered by a type of insurance you have, though most health insurance providers now cover post hospitalisation expenses or Domiciliary Hospitalisation. Please check with your health insurance provider to understand your coverage
We thoroughly screen and train our health attendants. Nurses & medical staff have professional licenses and certifications that are applicable to their role. Our health attendants are trained & periodically tested for their skill sets to ensure their competency. We also perform background checks and require several personal and professional references.
Your care recovery programs are customised to your needs and cover basic essentials required to execute it. Extra/ optional services or products required will be provided at an additional cost
Any extra service or product or pharmacy/medicines that are not accounted in your care program.
MSK's care team will not undertake domestic work such as cooking, laundry, home or room cleaning, running errands outside or managing other house work or help.
We work on a 100 % advance or flexible payment plan with a refundable deposit depending on your care program. Your deposit will be refunded maximum within 48 hours post your program completion. We accept cash/cheque/online payments on our portal or in person.
An emergency plan is made and thoroughly discussed with the patient and family post assessment. This is reviewed frequently with the patient and family during the course of our care in the home. Our medical staff is here to answer all questions/doubts you have. Incase the emergency can't be managed at home, we will wheel you to the closest hospital subject to bed availability and help with all admission procedures. The costs incurred for an emergency are not included in our program and shall be borne by the family.
